Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.
This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!
“The Lord Will Not Change His Mind”
Read verse 1. Picture Jesus seated at the right hand of God and praise Him because of His holiness and majesty. Tell Him joyful you are that He is a living Lord. Take courage from the fact that He will defeat all His enemies. Spend a few quiet moments bowing in awe before Him as you continue praising Him.
Read verses 2-3. “You will receive the dew…” is a metaphor David uses to describe Jesus‘ followers. Picture yourself as part of a large company of re-deemed people, covering the earth and glittering like dew drops. Tell God how you rejoice as you think about His rule, and the establishment of His kingdom.
Read verse 4. Spend a few minutes reflecting on what Jesus has done for you as your priest, who will never change. Thank Him for making it possible for you to enter God’s presence. Spend some quiet time in God’s presence enjoying the access you have to Him and praying however the Spirit leads you.
Read verses 4-6. Tell God how awed you are at the tremendous power that He will use to defeat His enemies through Jesus Christ. Praise Him again for His holiness and majesty. Ask Him for a sense of urgency for reaching the lost.
Read verse 7. This verse refers to the death and resurrection of Christ. Medi-tate for a few minutes on the cup of death Jesus drank in humility for you. Thank Him for that. Tell Him how you rejoice in His resurrection. Take a few quiet minutes to allow your heart to be awed by the Lord in His holiness, majesty and power; tell Him how awesome He is.
