Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.
This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!
Psalm 95
“Do Not Harden Your Hearts”
Day 1 |
Read verses 1 and 2. Think of a song of thanks or praise that you know, or open a hymnbook or songbook. Sing your thanks and praise to God, or read or recite the words of the song to Him. Tell Him what makes you thankful. Praise Him because He is the Rock of your salvation. |
Day 2 |
Read verses 3 to 5. Tell God how great He is, how highly exalted above any other gods. Tell Him how excellent His creation is. Affirm to Him that He is your God and King above anything else. |
Day 3 |
Read verses 6 and 7. As you contemplate the greatness of God again today, tell Him how awesome He is. In what way has the Lord Jesus specifically shepherd-ed you recently. Thank Him for this. Tell Him how it encourages you that you are part of the flock under His care. |
Day 4 |
Read verses 8 to 11. Ask God to speak to your heart today about any areas of your life where you may be going astray, or holding on to something in stub-bornness that God wants you to let go of. Listen for His voice. Confess and turn to Him with a yielded heart as He shows you where He wants you to come clos-er to Him. |
Day 5 |
Read verses 1-7 again. Tell God how He has used His great power to care for you, protect you, provide food and living water for your soul, and give you guidance, as a shepherd would his sheep. Affirm your desire to follow Him closely. |
