Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.

This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Psalm 41

“My Enemy Will Not Shout in Triumph Over Me”

Day 1

Read verses 1 to 3. Think of a time of weakness in your own life, and how the Lord sent someone to minister to you. Tell Him this, and thank Him. Decide to be the person of verse 1. Commit to a life of unselfish love for others. Identify the blessings for such a person that are listed in this section, and rejoice in them.

Day 2

Read verses 4 to 6. Cry out to the Lord for mercy today. Tell Him about any circumstances or people that have hurt you recently. Ask Him for His healing. Ask Him to reveal areas of sinfulness to you. Admit that your sin is against Him, and ask for His forgiveness.

Day 3

Read verses 7 to 9. Our circumstances, Satan, the world, and even we our-selves are the enemies of our souls. How have your enemies discouraged you and even caused you to fear? Tell the Lord about this. Tell God how you take courage in the fact that His favour, strength and presence are with the upright.

Day 4

Read verses 10 to 12. Ask God for His mercy in your weakness, especially any weakness caused the temptation of the evil one. Ask Him for restoration to strength and joy. Tell God how joyful you are in His blessing on your life. Ask Him to help you commit to following Him more deeply, to being a person of integrity. Thank Him for His presence in your life.

Day 5

Read verse 13. Simply praise the Lord today. Praise Him because He is a com-passionate God, a Great Physician. Thank Him for His healing touch on your life this week, for His forgiveness and for the strength He has given you.
