Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.
This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!
“Blessed Are Those Who Seek God with Their Whole Heart”
Read verse 1. Think about some recent victories in your life, when your con-duct was blameless. What blessings did you experience because of your commit-ment to walking according to God’s law? Spend time humbly enjoying the bless-ing that God gives you as you maintain a close relationship with Him.
Read verses 2 and 3. Today simply tell God how much you want to know Him intimately. Express your desire to Him to keep His statutes. Ask Him to show you things that you need to rid your life of because they hinder you from seek-ing Him with all your heart. Tell God how you hunger for closeness with Him, so that you can walk in His ways.
Read verses 4-6. Praise God because of His holiness that is reflected in His commands. Thank Him that He shows us what He is like through them. Pray these verses to Him. Confess areas where you struggle to obey.
Read verses 7 and 8. Praise God from an upright heart by treasuring Him more than anything else. Reaffirm to Him your desire to leave behind the areas of disobedience, the things that you treasure more than God. Ask Him to teach you His laws as you commit to seeking Him with all of your heart.
Pray verses 4-8 to the Lord. Be awed by God’s commitment to never forsaking you. Allow yourself to respond to this with worship. Determine to obey.
