Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.

This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Psalm 37:1-22

“He Will Make Your Righteousness Shine Like the Dawn”

Day 1

Read verses 1-4. Praise God because He is trustworthy. What is causing you anxiety right now? In what way do you envy your worldly neighbours? As you bow quietly before God, release these strivings, and ask Him to flood your heart with new godly desires. Tell Him how you delight in Him.

Day 2

Read verses 5-6. Praise God because He is near and approachable, interested in your daily life. Tell Him about the circumstances that concern you. Turn these things over to Him and ask Him to give you open eyes and ears to know His leading. Ask Him to make His righteousness shine through you to others.

Day 3

Read verse 7. Bring your impatience to the Lord today. Tell Him about the circumstances that cause you to fret. Bow quietly in His presence and listen to Him as you worship. Tell Him how you are resting confidently in His presence. Carry this attitude away with you today.

Day 4

Read verses 8-11. Think about what evil men did to Jesus; think about His meekness in all of His adversity. Tell God how you rejoice in His triumph. Bring your anger and anxiety and lay them at His feet. Ask Him to heal the wounds that cause these things. Tell Him how you enjoy peace in His presence.

Day 5

Read verses 16-22. Praise God today because of His righteousness. Pick out a promise or two from this section and tell the Lord how much it means to you. Ask Him to lead you in this kind of righteousness. Ask Him to increase your faith, so that you can be the kind of person verses 21 and 22 describe.
