Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.

This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Day 1

Read verses 1-3. Praise God today because of His goodness. Tell Him how much you desire to be pure in heart, to love only Him. Rehearse to Him some of the good things He has done for you. Ask Him to search your heart for areas of your life where you may be slipping in your love for Him. What things of the world do you envy and wish you had? Tell Him this; ask for purity of heart.

Day 2

Read verses 4-17. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness today. Think again about the things of the world that draw you. Tell the Lord how you see the people of the world prospering while you seem to struggle. Bow down in worship in His “sanctuary,” and ask Him for strength to continue to be faithful to Him, and discernment concerning the choices you make in life.

Day 3

Read verses 18-22. Praise the Lord for His justice today. Thank the Lord that you are not like the wicked, that you stand on firm ground, that you have an eternal hope, that your life is more than a dream. Think about what kind of ani-mal you are like when you’re being stubborn. Tell the Lord this and ask Him to show you any areas where you’re being like this. Confess to Him today.

Day 4

Read verses 23-26. Pray these verses to the Lord today. Tell God how He has recently held your hand and guided you. Ask Him for a heart that can truly pray verse 25. Tell Him specifically what hope verse 26 gives you.

Day 5

Read verses 27-28. Praise God again because of His goodness to you. Tell Him how much you desire to stay near to Him. Think about an area of your life where you need Him to be your refuge, and tell Him this. Ask Him for opportu-nities to tell others about His works.
