Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.

This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Day 1

Read verses 1 and 2. Think about your own pursuit of God. Is your greatest passion to worship Him? Tell Him this. As you bow in worship, ask the Lord to make you more aware of your deep need and longing for Him, to find Him, know Him and worship Him as King.

Day 2

Read verses 3 to 10. As you think about how God fulfilled His promises, how He poured out His love and mercy in His Son, be overjoyed as the wise men were. Rejoice by telling God about your joy because of the coming of Christ.

Day 3

Read verse 11a. Think about the significance of Christ’s coming and again be awed. Bow in worship at His feet. Tell Him He is your King and Lord. Allow His Spirit to fill you with His peace and joy during the rest of this Christmas season. Let those words, “peace” and “joy” take on new meaning when you see them on Christmas cards, in magazines, on TV, or wherever this year.

Day 4

Read verse 11b. What gifts do you want to offer the Lord this year? As you bow in quiet worship, ask Him to make you aware of what you need to give Him. As you bake or eat Christmas food this year, let the spices remind you of your offering to Him.

Day 5

Merry Christmas—Blessed New Year
