Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.

This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Day 1

Read verses 1 and 2. Pray verse 1 to the Lord. Praise Him because of His mag-nificence. Affirm to Him that He is Lord in your life. When has He given you victory over sin even though you were as weak as a child? Tell Him this and thank Him. Ask Him to search your life for areas where He is not Lord.

Day 2

Read verse 3. Praise God today because of His incredible power and creativity. Think about His creation and tell Him how amazed you are that such a great God also cares intimately for you. In what specific ways has the Lord shown His care for you recently?. Tell Him this and thank Him. Are there areas of your life you have not entrusted to His care? Release these to Him in faith.

Day 3

Read verse 4-6. These verses refer to Jesus. Praise God for making Him Man for your sake. Thank Jesus for His willingness to humble Himself in this way. Ask Him to use this Christmas season to create the same humility in you. Praise Jesus Christ because of His Lordship over all things, including you.

Day 4

Read verses 6 to 8. Thank God today for the tremendous privilege of reigning over creation with Christ as one of His servants. Take time today to confess the sins of our culture in neglecting to care for God’s creation. Think about how you personally can be a better steward of creation, and commit to Him to do this. Pray for our world because of its sinful abuse of resources.

Day 5

Read verse 7. Praise God again because of His majestic greatness. Thank Him again because of His sovereign care for you. As you think of yourself as one of His subjects, seek from Him His specific leading for you in carrying out His design and purpose for your life. Tell Him how you rejoice in the way He has made you, and stay open to how He speaks to you about serving Him.
