Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.

This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Day 1

Read verses 1 to 3. Praise God today because of His sovereignty. Bring to the Lord two or three things that trouble you the most about our world today. Ask Him to execute His justice in the world quickly. Ask Him to fill you with a sense of His control and purpose. Wait before Him as His Spirit speaks this to you.

Day 2

Read verses 4 to 6. Continue praising God today because of His sovereignty and control in the universe. Thank Him for specific ways you have seen Him work out His purposes around you. Bow at the feet of Jesus today, and affirm to Him that He is your king. Tell Him how much you rejoice because of His rule.

Day 3

Read verses 7 to 9. Praise and thank God today for giving us His Son. Tell Him what it means to you to have the Son of the living God living in you. Ask Him to fill you with a deeper sense of longing for His presence face to face, and for the coming of His future kingdom on earth. Think about how this affects your cele-bration of Christmas; ask Him to help you live in light of the coming kingdom.

Day 4

Read verses 10-11. Again, praise God today because of His sovereignty. Tell Him how much you rejoice because of the hope of His personal return, and the justice He will bring. Ask Him to fill you with a heart-desire to serve Him in the meantime. Allow His Spirit to fill you with reverence and awe as you think about your salvation from sin and judgment to serve the living God.

Day 5

Read verse we today. Thank God for giving you a refuge from His wrath in His Son Jesus. Ask Him to show you any areas of sinfulness in your life, and confess these today. Ask Him for a renewed passion to serve only Him, and take some time to pour out your love at His feet.
