Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.

This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Day 1

Read verse 1: Praise God today because He is a holy God. Think about how you are blessed—list some of your blessings to God, and tell Him how this gives you the happiness you enjoy in Him. Tell Him specifically how you have not followed worldly wisdom, or committed sins others commit, or kept company with those who insult the Lord; thank Him for the blessings you have as a result.

Day 2

Read verse 2: Thank God today for His Word. Think about how God’s Word has delighted you recently, and tell Him this. Tell Him how much His Word delights you, and why. Ask Him for a deeper hunger for His Word; ask Him to reveal its wisdom to you as you meditate on it.

Day 3

Read verse 3: Thank God today for His grace in your life. Think about your life as a tree that God has planted. Tell Him how He has planted you where you are; tell Him specifically how He has tended and watered your spiritual life. Thank Him for specific growth and fruit that you’ve seen in your own life, and the lives of your family members. Ask Him to continue prospering you.

Day 4

Read verse 4: Praise God today because He is a just God. Ask Him to examine your heart for any wicked ways that may represent chaff in your life. Confess specific ways that are not pleasing to Him. Invite His Holy Spirit to blow the chaff from your life and replace it with fruit and health (vs. 3)

Day 5

Read verses 5 and 6: Praise God today because He is compassionate. What does it mean to you that the Lord knows your “way?” Tell Him this, and thank Him for His mercy and grace in your life. Ask Him to continue to remove wick-ed and sinful ways from your life.
