Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.

This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Day 1

Read verses 1 and 2. Praise God for His lovingkindness and truth. Tell Him about how He has specifically shown His lovingkindness and truth to you, and thank HIm. What “gods” do you resist as you praise the Lord? Affirm this to Him, and tell Him how you are determined to exalt His name (His authority) and His Word (Christlikeness) in your life. Ask for His help.

Day 2

Read verse 3. Think of specific ways in which the Lord has answered your prayers recently. Thank Him for these. Also thank Him for specific times you have known His presence in a way that has made you confident to do His will. Carry this attitude of thankfulness with you throughout the day.

Day 3

Read verses 4 and 5. Think about how God has spoken to you recently about His “ways.” What does He specifically require of you to glorify Himself today or this week? Is there something you need to give up? Bring your sacrifice of a willing heart to Him by surrendering anything that does not glorify God.

Day 4

Read verse 6. Have an attitude of confession today. Ask the Lord if there is any proud way in you. Wait for Him as He probes your heart. Confess your pride, and give in to His ways, for His glory. Ask Him to continue working on your attitude, so that it will be lowly like Jesus’.

Day 5

Read verses 7 and 8. Approach the mercy seat today for whatever you need. Savour His intimate presence, His love and His desires for you. Cry out to Him for the restoration, healing and strength you need for your circumstance.
