Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.

This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Day 1

Read verses 1-4. Praise God today because of His power, and because of the authority of His name in the universe. Praise Him for specific acts of His power that come to your mind. Tell Him how He has subjected His enemies.

Day 2

Read verses 5-7. Praise God today because of His sovereignty over the nations. Thank Him specifically for the awesome things He’s done on your behalf. Bow quietly before His sovereignty; tell Him how His Spirit is assuring you of His control over the movement of history in our world.

Day 3

Read verses 8-12. Thank God today for your salvation. Think of how God brought you to where you are today, perhaps through difficult circumstances that were refining you. Thank Him for His protection and provision, and His wisdom in testing you. Praise Him for all of this.

Day 4

Read verses 13-15. Today, ask God’s Spirit to show you what new and deeper commitments you need to make to Him; wait quietly for Him to speak to you. As He leads you, make this commitment to Him, and ask for His help as you determine to follow through.

Day 5

Read verses 16-20. Thank God for His attention to our weakness, and for His answers to prayer. Allow Him to examine your heart, to see if you are cherishing any sin that you need to turn from. Think of His answers to your prayers and thank Him specifically. Bring your requests to Him today with confidence. De-cide to tell someone how He has answered your prayers and provided for you.
