Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.
This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!
Read verses 1 and 2: Praise God today for His power in creation. Tell Him specifically how His creation causes you to worship Him. Think about how all of creation is “the Lord’s.” Think specifically how you, as part of creation, are “the Lord’s.” Tell Him how this causes you to respond (with worship, repentance, thanks, etc.).
Read verses 3 and 4. Tell God how much you desire to know Him more deeply and experience His presence more fully. Ask Him to search your heart for impu-rities or idolatrous objects of worship. Confess these things to Him as He reveals them to you. Affirm your commitment to follow only Him.
Read verses 3 and 4 again today. Praise God for His holiness today. Ask Him to reveal any areas of deceitfulness in your life. Tell Him how much you desire to have clean hands and a pure heart. Invite His Spirit to search you again and to reveal any impurity or uncleanness, or deceitfulness. Again, confess or repent.
Read verses 7 and 8. Praise God today because of His sovereignty as King. Think about how the Lord has shown His strength in your life. Bring to mind some specific battles He has won for you. Thank Him specifically for His strong presence in your life.
Read verses 9 and 10. Praise God because He is a glorious God. Tell Him how much you want your life to be lived in worship of Him. Tell Him how you desire to bring glory to Him. Affirm to Him your commitment to following only Him.
