Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.
This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!
Psalm 119:113-120
Day 1
Read verse 113. Praise God because of the loveliness of His holiness. Tell Jesus how you adore Him, because He is the perfect expression of God’s law. Worship Him by telling Him how much you want to be like Him. |
Day 2
Read verse 114. Praise God because He is your refuge and shield. In what way has He protected you recently. Tell Him about this. Thank Him for His faithful-ness. What portion of God’s word gives you specific hope? Tell Him this. Tell Him how you rejoice in the hope you have in Him. |
Day 3
Read verse 115. What do you need to put away from you? Ask God to reveal this to you. Tell Him how much you want to turn away from the things or peo-ple that hinder you from obeying Him. Listen in quiet worship as He points out areas of your life that need to be dealt with, and commit to His will. |
Day 4
Read verses 116-117. Tell God how you rejoice in His sustaining power. Thank Him for His provision and care in the past. Thank Him for eternal life, and tell Him how His Word continues to give you life. Bring specific items of concern to Him, and tell Him how you hope in Him, because of His love and care for you. |
Day 5
Read verses 118-120. Again, affirm to God your love for His holiness. Ask Him to strengthen you to be more like His Son. Tell Him how you are awed by His holiness as you bow in worship; ask His Spirit to lead you into a deeper desire to obey Him. |
