Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.

This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Day 1

Read verses 1-3. Praise God today because He is a saving God. Think about how the Good News came to you and saved you, and thank Him for this. What song comes to mind as you think about what He has done for you. Recite or sing it to Him. Tell Him how you anticipate the preaching of the gospel this Sunday.

Day 2

Read verses 4-6. Praise God because of His honour, majesty, strength and beauty. Tell Him how much greater He is than all the other gods of the universe. Recommit to Him today as your true God, above all others. Tell Him how much you desire that He become the true God of the people living in Charlottetown.

Day 3

Read verses 7-9. Praise the Lord today because of His holiness. Tell Him how much you are in awe of His glory. Allow these verses to speak to you of God’s passion to glorify Himself. Ask Him to make you passionate for His glory as a family, as we honour families this weekend. What is He asking you to offer Him, especially this week. Don’t be afraid to give Him what He is asking of you.

Day 4

Read verse 10. Praise God today because of His justice and sovereignty. Tell Him how His rule over the universe gives you confidence. Tell Him how this truth excites your passion to proclaim “The Lord reigns” this Sunday. Ask Him for people who will decide to turn to Him on Sunday.

Day 5

Read verses 11-13. Praise God today because He is the one source of truth and righteousness in the universe. Imagine the waves on the Atlantic shouting to God; imagine the trees’ branches as hands that clap to Him in the wind. Tell Him how joyful you are because of Him. Ask Him to bring His truth to the people of Charlottetown through our church and its families.
