Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.
This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!
Read verses 1-4. Praise God today because of His justice. Think especially of how He has helped you when you were weak and needy. How has He provided for you in the past? Thank Him for all of this. Who are the weak and needy people in your circle of influence? Pray for them today.
Read verses 5-7. Praise God today in His awesomeness. Commit yourself in afresh way today to “fearing” God. Think about how this is connected to your encouragement of others. Ask God to make you like a refreshing shower that waters the earth. Tell Him how much you desire righteousness to flourish and peace to abound both in your life and through you.
Read verses 11-14. Praise God today because He is a compassionate God. Spend some time asking Him to increase your heart of compassion for the weak and needy people of the world. Think of specific people and pray about how the Lord might use you to deliver and redeem them.
Read verse 16-17. Thank God again today for His provision. Think about how the Lord has given you abundance. Thank Him specifically. Meditate on how the Lord has allowed you to blossom like a wild flower. What does this mean for you? Pray that the unsaved around the world will also be so blessed.
Read verses 18-19. Praise God because of how glorious He is. Tell Him how He is making Himself famous in the world today. What “wondrous things” come to your mind that the Lord has done, that only He can do? Tell Him this and praise Him.
