Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.
This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!
Read verses 1-3. Pray these verses to God. As you come to the end of verse 1, reaffirm to God a recent commitment you’ve made. As you pray verse 2, thank Him for some specific prayer He has answered. As you pray verse 3, rejoice in His forgiveness; confess any sin new sin He is convicting you of.
Read verse 4. Today simply recount back to God all of the blessings you have because you are part of His household. Tell Him how much these things bring you joy. What difference does it make to you that you are His temple? Tell Him this. Tell Him how much you want to be a holy temple.
Pray verses 5 to 8 back to God today. As you pray verse 5, tell God specifically why He is your hope. As you pray through the rest of these verses, tell God how awed you are at His power, as you realize that He cares for you. Tell Him how you look forward to gathering with the saints this Easter Sunday to praise Him.
Pray verses 9 and 10 to God. Think about the material blessings our land enjoys and thank God specifically for His care and provision. Tell Him how this gives you hope and joy. Tell Him how this reminds you of His provision for you spiritually. How has He satisfied your soul recently. Thank Him for this.
Pray verses 11 to 13 to God today. Today, reflect on the specific ways God has provided for you personally. Repeat these back to God, and tell Him how this fills you with gladness, joy and singing. Think about how His provision gives you confidence to share what He has blessed you with.
