Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.

This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Day 1

Read verse 10. Praise the Lord because of His compassionate mercy toward the needy and His strength and sovereignty to deliver. Who or what is too strong for you and overpowering you today? Tell the Lord this and cry out to Him for deliverance. Who or what is robbing you today? Again, tell the Lord and cry out to Him. Tell Him how your rejoice in Him and in His salvation.

Day 2

Read verses 17-18. Praise God today because He has delivered you from your enemies (sin and Satan). Think about a specific area of your life where you continue to feel defeated. Tell the Lord this, and cry out to Him for deliverance. Also think about specific reasons to thank the Lord, and offer these to Him. Allow your thanks to spill over in praise when you are at worship Sunday morning.

Day 3

Read verses 19-20. Praise God today because He is a God of truth, who calls us to a life of truth and integrity. Today, ask Him to search your heart for any pattern of speaking evil of others, or deceit, or rejoicing in another person’s trouble. Ask Him to fill you with His Spirit to enable you to become a person of peace.

Day 4

Read verses 22-23. Praise God today because He knows everything, specifically about your life. Affirm your belief in the truth that He sees and cares for you. In what ways has He seemed to be silent to you? Ask Him to speak to you in any area where you need His voice. Pray these verses to Him.

Day 5

Read verses 27-28. Praise the Lord today because of His greatness by telling Him specifically how He is great. Who are the people in your life who take delight in your life? Thank Him for the influence you have on others, and pray that the Lord will cause your influence to produce thankfulness in others. Ask the Lord for opportunities to tell others about Him. Take time to praise Him all day.
