Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.
This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!
Read verse 33. Pray it to the Lord today. In what way are you stubborn and unteachable at times? Confess this to the Lord. Ask the Holy Spirit to open youreyes to what He’s trying to teach you now. Spend time in God’s presence askingHim to make clear what area He wants you to follow Him more closely in.
Pray verses 34 and 35 to God. Continue to ask God to help you understand how to obey Him. Ask Him to show you your hidden faults and help you understand where you have been stubborn and have not followed Him. Tell Him how your heart is filled with delight as you determine to follow Him more closely. Thank Him for the pastors, teachers and leaders who have influenced you.
Pray verses 36 and 37 to God. In what ways have you put selfish gain ahead of seeking God? What worthless things have you invested your resources in? Ask God to show you this as you pray these verses to Him. Ask Him to strengthen your faith as you put your trust in Him, rather than in the things of the world.
Pray verses 38 and 39 to the Lord. Think about ways God has fulfilled His promises to you; tell Him how this fills you with awe as you understand how He works in your life. Ask Him to continue confirming and fulfilling His promises. Tell Him how you are filled with confidence, rather than shame, because you are following His ways.
Read verse 40. Simply tell God today how much you long to be like Him. Reaffirm your commitment to walk in His ways, and ask Him to continue to preserve your life.
