Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.

This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Day 1

Read verses 1 to 4. Praise God today that He is a glorious God. Tell Him how His creation shows His handiwork. What is it that each day that dawns is saying to the entire world about God? What does each night say about Him? Tell Him this and thank Him for His creation.

Day 2

Read verses 5 to 6. Praise God today for the display of power that the dawn of each new day brings. In what way does the sun “rejoice” in the Lord as it begins its journey each day. Tell God this. Again, thank Him for the awesome display of His power that each day brings.

Day 3

Read verses 7 to 11. Thank God today for His Word. Tell Him specifically today how His word has been perfect, sure, right, pure, enduring, true or righteous to you. Tell Him how much you desire to put His Word into practice, and how valuable that is to you. Reaffirm any recent commitment you’ve made to heed some warning of Scripture. Finally, thank God for the reward of His goodness that comes from being committed to His Word.

Day 4

Pray verses 12 and 13 back to the Lord. Ask the Lord today to search your heart for any errors, secret faults or presumptuous sins. As He specifically reveals these things, confess them and commit to turning away from them.

Day 5

Pray verse 14 to the Lord today. Tell God specifically why He is your strength and your Redeemer today. Ask Him to examine your heart to see if there are any impure words or thoughts you’ve been recently guilty of, and again confess and turn from these. Thank Him for His word that replaces these things within us.
