Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.

This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Day 1

Read verse 21b today. Praise God because He is a God of knowledge and wisdom. Thank Him that He is unfolding His sovereign and powerful plan on earth. Praise Him because there is no other God apart from Him. Affirm your trust in Him alone today, and ask Him to guard your heart against any form of idolatry.

Day 2

Read verse 21b again today. Praise God because He is righteous (fair, just, doing right). Thank Him for your salvation. Thank Him for the work He is doing in your life, to transform you into the likeness of Jesus. Ask Him for the strength and courage to overcome fear and live righteously in a practical way each day.

Day 3

Read verse 22 today. Praise God because He is a saving God. Thank Him for sending Jesus to be born as Saviour of the world. Thank Him for the way that message of good news is being proclaimed around the world. Pray that our church will be a light in the darkness this Christmas.

Day 4

Read verse 23 today. Praise God because He is a God of truth. Thank Him for His power word that accomplishes His will in the world. Thank Him for the way His word has transformed your life. Tell Him specifically how you have been changed. Bow before His Lordship; acknowledge His sovereignty in your life.

Day 5

Read verse 24a today. Praise God because He is a God of righteousness and strength. Thank Him for the works of strength that He has accomplished in your life. Be specific. Wait before Him for a few minutes and allow His Spirit to show you any areas of your life where you are depending on your own strength. Turn these areas over to Him. Pray for His strength to serve others today.
