Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms.
This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!
Read verses 1-3. Think about where you would be right now if the Lord had not redeemed you. Thank Him for His goodness in giving you a new life. Thank Him for specific goodnesses you have received in the past few days.
Read verses 4-9. Remember how you were wandering before the Lord found you, trying to satisfy your spiritual hunger and thirst. Tell God how He has filled you with good things. Thank Him for the love that followed you all those years. Tell Him how much you long for more fullness of His Spirit.
Read verses 10-16. Remember how you were in bondage because of your sinfulness before the Lord set you free. Tell Him specifically how He has set you free from the sinfulness that enslaved you. Thank Him again for the love that never let you go. What do you feel is imprisoning you now? Ask the Lord for His power to free you from whatever bondage you are in.
Read verses 17-22. Think about how foolish you were without the Lord. Tell Him specifically how he rescued you from the consequences of your foolish actions. Thank Him again for His unfailing love. In what area of your life do you need wisdom? Ask the Lord for wisdom from His word to help you.
Read verses 35-43. Remember how the Lord specifically drew you to Himself, and thank Him for this. Rejoice today that you are acceptable to Him because of what Jesus did. In what way is it wise to consider the mercy of the Lord? Tell the Lord this and commit to the wisdom of keeping His mercy central in your life.
