Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms. This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time. May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!
Read verses 1-4. Praise God today because of His wisdom. Think about how the wisdom of His Word has helped you recently. Thank Him for this. Tell Him how much you desire to listen to what His Spirit will say to you this week.
Read verses 5-9. Thank God today for your salvation. Specifically thank the Lord Jesus for paying the price of your ransom. Is there any area of your life that is causing you to worry or fear? Is there any area where you’re trusting in your own resources? Confess these to God; tell Him how you rest in His provision.
Read verses 10-12. Continue to praise God today because He is a wise God. Is there any area of your life where you’ve been trusting your own wisdom? Ask God to show you any areas of your life where you have put the wrong priorities ahead of the Lord. Bring specific things to Him in which you need His wisdom.
Read verses 13-15. Praise God today because of His power over death and the grave. Thank Him for your salvation. Again, ask Him to show you any areas of your life where you’ve perhaps participated in the foolishness of the world. Ask Him for specific wisdom in your circumstances.
Read verses 16-20. Ask God today to continue His work in you to redeem you from the world we live in. Ask Him to take you deeper in living more passionately for Him and less passionately for the things of the world. Affirm to Him today that you seek His blessing; confess any attempts you’ve been making to bless yourself with worldly things. Thank Him for the promise of eternal life.
