Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms. This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time.  May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Day 1

Read verse 1. Praise the Lord today however His Spirit leads you to do so. What is there in your life that siphons off your passion for God? Ask Him to show you this, and affirm to Him that you desire to praise Him with all your heart. Praise Him because of His sovereignty and leading in our congregation.

Day 2

Read verses 2 and 3. Think about the specific works and deeds of God today. Tell Him what He has done. Praise Him for His glory, majesty and righteous- ness. Think about what He has done in your family, and be delighted by this.

Day 3

Read verses 4-6. What miraculous things has God done in your life? How has he provided for your family? What specific promises has He been faithful to in your life? Tell Him these specific things, and let His grace and compassion lead you to praise and thank Him.

Day 4

Read verses 7-9. Which of the attributes of God listed in these verses (God’struth, justice, uprightness, holiness, awesomeness) have you experienced as a family. Tell God this, and praise Him. Think about how you came to be a believ- er and thank Him for this. Tell Him how awesome He is.

Day 5

Read verse 10. Ask the Lord today to show you areas of your life where you need to follow Him more closely, especially as a parent, or even turn away from things that hinder you. Make these commitments to Him; tell Him how you desire to reverence Him and praise Him for all eternity.
