Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms. This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time.  May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Day 1

Read verses 16-26. Praise God today because of His righteousness. Pick out a promise or two from this section and tell the Lord how much it means to you. Ask Him to lead you in this kind of righteousness, especially generosity. Ask Him to increase your faith, to be the kind of person verses 21 and 22 describe.

Day 2

Read verses 27-29. Make a new commitment to God to living according His righteousness. Again, think of God’s faithfulness in the life of an exemplary person, and let that motivate your commitment to righteousness. Thank Him for His promise of His presence, His protection and His promises for the future.

Day 3

Read verses 30-33. Thank God today for His servants that He places among God’s people. Think about a wise teacher or pastor who has been used by God in your life. Tell God how his/her example motivates you to live by the law of God in your heart. Thank God specifically for His promises in these verses.

Day 4

Read verses 34-36. What is causing you impatience today? How is God asking you to wait for Him? Cry out to Him about this. Ask for His strength to keep His way while you wait. Ask Him to help you resist the temptation to find satisfaction in the temporary things of the world. Rejoice in His promise.

Day 5

Read verses 37-40. Again, consider someone who is an example of righteousness. How has God been a refuge and a stronghold for them? Thank Him for His faithfulness. Tell Him which of these promises is meaningful to you, and why.
