Welcome to our praise and worship guide using the Psalms. This guide is intended to help you spend a few minutes in worship on a daily basis. The worship activities for each day will take about 10 minutes, and are best done before your normal devotional time.  May God richly bless you as you take time to reflect on who He is and what He’s doing in your life!

Day 1

Read verse 1. In what way do you desire God, thirst for Him? Tell Him this. Praise Him because of His love that fills the longing in you. Affirm to Him that He is your God, above anything else you treasure. Affirm your desire to Him that you seek a closer relationship with Him.

Day 2

Read verses 2 and 3. Think about how you’ve seen the power and the glory of God. Tell Him about this. Thank Him for His powerful acts in our church and in your life. In what way is His love better than life? Tell Him this. Glorify Him with your praise.

Day 3

Read verses 4 and 5. Think again about the powerful, glorious name of the Lord, and His love that satisfies you. Let this cause you to lift your praise and thanks to Him. Draw near to Him and tell Him how much your soul is satisfied in Him, and how your relationship with Him brings you joy.

Day 4

Read verses 6 and 7. Continue to praise God because of His power. Draw close to Him in the Holiest Place where you are protected in the shadow of His wings. Bring your fears to Him, the things that worry you in the night, and allow His Spirit to speak peace to you. Wait quietly as He assures you of His help. As you experience His peace, tell Him how joyful you are.

Day 5

Read verse 8. Praise God because He upholds you with His hand. Tell Him how He has specifically done this. Affirm to Him your dependence on Him.
